Corgi OM43909 Guy Arab Utility bus "Southdown"

Southdown was born on 2nd June 1915 and as a company grew to be world famous in the 70 years thereafter, when it was an identifiable company in its own right. Its green cream buses and coaches were a fimiliar sight along the Sussex coast and inland as far as london.

GUF 395, fleet number 495 was delivered in 1946. This Guy Arab II with Park Royal bodywork was one of the last five delivered and would have seen servive in and around Brighton and Worthing providing welcome transport from the hundereds of visitors who once again flocked to the coast.
