This diagram showcases some of the locomotives and multiple units that exhibited at "All Change", a special open day at Crewe Diesel Depot, arranged by Virgin Trains, Locomotive Services Ltd and the Railway Magazine to support the Neuroendocrine Tumours and Rethink charities. In the guide, we feature some of the locomotives and multiple units that exhibited during the event and in some cases have produced accurate trains that they have worked in their lifetimes.

Virgin West Coast Super Voyager The standard 5-car Class 221 "Super Voyager" high speed service operating between London and Birmingham, Holyhead, Glasgow or Edinburgh.											2019

1F50 - 14:30 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross D9000 (55022) was the final 'Deltic' to run on British Rail with the "Delitc Scotsman Farewell" charter. The train arrived back to crowds of enthusiasts gathered around the buffer stops to see the last ever arrival of one of the most followed locomotive classes in history. The loco was complete in BR blue and hauled a rake of BR blue and grey Mk1 coaches.											2nd Jan 1982

East Midlands Trains HST - London to Leicester, Derby, Nottingham & Sheffield Two Class 43 power cars bookend this classic HST formation. The HST has been the mainstay of intercity services on the Midland Mainline for over 30 years but they are now very close to retirement. This example is complete in the EMT livery.											2019

2P18 - 10:36 Norwich to Great Yarmouth Two Class 37s haul this short rake of Mk2D coaches along the "Wherry Lines". The coaches and one 37 are in Direct Rail Services livery, whilst the second 37 is in BR large logo blue.

1Z23 - Blackburn to Blackpool 57307 has always been a popular locomotive due to its standout pink nameplates bearing the name of one of the main characters in the TV series Thunerbirds. When the loco was transferred from Virgin Trains to DRS, the nameplate was retained and in 2015 it gained a celebrity livery celebrating 20 years of DRS. In this formation, it is taking a railtour from Blackburn to Blackpool as part of a larger railtour that had many changes of locomotive and toured a large distance. It hauled a rake of BR blue and grey Mk2 and Mk1 coaches and was banked by a Class 88.

1Z70 - 10:07 Crewe to Burnley No. 70000 'Britannia' returned to service in late 2018 with Locomotive Services and can be seen in this formation at the head of the Pennine Moors Christmas Explorer for Saphos Railtours. It hauled a rake of crimson and cream liveried Mk1 and Mk2 coaches.

Class 91 & Intercity 225 Set - London to Leeds, Newcastle & Edinburgh 91119 was repainted in 2018 to celebrate the life of the Intercity 225 on the East Coast Mainline and the relationship they have with Bounds Green depot, which has maintained them throughout their life. This formation shows this 91 in BR intercity livery and is hauling a rake of Mk4 coaches and a DVT in the current LNER livery.

Freight & Departmental Services

Network Rail Test Train Two Class 73 locomotives sandwich a test train used to record live data while travelling across the national network. This data can help to identify defects a lot faster than traditional track walking can. The locomotives and coaches are all complete in the Network Rail yellow livery. (SA: Staff Accomodation, PLPR: Plain Line Pattern Recognition Vehicle, RSTT: Radio Survey Test Train, BR: Brake Runner)

6N61 - 12:00 Drax Aes - Tyne Coal Terminal 60095 is a regular on the biomass hoppers from the coal terminal at the Port of Tyne to the Drax Power staton. Biomass is a wood based product used as a renewable alternative to coal. It is imported to the UK through the ports of Liverpool and Tyne and transported in these specialised wagons, designed for the task and with the biggest capacity of any wagon on the UK network. The locomotive is seen here in GBRf livery.

3S71 - 21:20 Shrewsbury Coleham Ss Circular Two Class 56s "Top and tail" the Rail Head Treatment Train that patrols the mainline between Chester and Holyhead as well as some of the smaller branch lines in this area. The locomotives are seen here in Colas Rail livery.
