The Great Hattons TrackPlan Competition
We’re challenging you to send us your best layout ideas using AnyRail track plan software! We want to see the most creative track plans our community has to offer and we may even share some of our favourites on our website and elsewhere.
Furthermore, one person will even have the chance to win a special prize for submitting your ideas. We’re offering a paid subscription for the full version of AnyRail!
How to Submit
You need to submit your raw AnyRail (.any) file so that we can verify the number of pieces used. You must send it in to our dedicated email address - firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Track Plan Competition”.
You have until 23:59 BST on Tuesday 7th July 2020 to submit your track plan.
You must use AnyRail to produce your track plan and save your project as a “.any” file.
You are limited to using 50 pieces of track (this is the limit for the free version of AnyRail).
You must use OO Gauge Code 100 trackwork (Hornby, Bachmann or Peco)
You may submit multiple track plan ideas but you will only be eligible for one entry into the prize giveaway.
Terms and Conditions
Hattons reserves the right to use any or all track plans submitted as part of this competition for any purpose.
Prizes are non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the competition.
The competition is open to all customers, regardless of location.
The winner will be contacted via email.

Winners will be announced on or after Wednesday 8th July 2020.
What is AnyRail?
AnyRail is free track planning software available for Microsoft Windows. It allows you to design a layout using a simple interface.
Is there a baseboard size limit?
No, you can fit your trackplan to whichever baseboard size you wish.
Can I use track that is not OO?
For the purposes of this competition you must use OO Gauge Code 100 track from either Hornby, Peco or Bachmann.
Can I use flexible track in my plan?
Flexible track is permitted and will count towards the part limit as usual. If a single piece of flexitrack is used in full then this is one piece. If a piece of flexitrack is cut in half then this will count as two pieces.
Does the trackplan have to be based on a real location or can it be fictional?
You are welcome to come up with whatever style of trackplan you like. It can incorporate elements of real locations if desired but it is not a requirement.
Do I have to fully “decorate” my trackplan in AnyRail?
No. You are welcome to add any decorative touches you like but this is not a requirement to enter. The trackplan can be as simple as the example below:
