Hornby are producing an all-new model of the Class 51xx/ 61xx “Large Prairie” 2-6-2T locomotives in OO gauge. Available in both digital ready and factory digital fitted forms, models will cover GWR green, BR green and BR black colour schemes.

The 5100 class were an updated version of Churchward's 3100 class that were produced as part of his "locomotive improvement scheme". The design was destined to become one of GWR's most useful locomotives, lasting in traffic until the end of Western Region steam operations in 1965.
