Product Description

Towards the end of the 1950's, the Brush cars saw attention in the Tramways department workshops. In order to improve the legibility of destinations, the double end displays were replaced with a moulded single indicator as applied to this car. A simplified livery was applied at the same time and this continued throughout most of the 1960's. The Brush cars at this time were largely synonymous with the Number 1 Tram Route (the only tram to carry a number in Blackpool) operating between North Station and Fleetwood via Dickinson Road. All of the Brush cars were, at this time, allocated to Bisphan Depot, now the site of Sainsbury's Superstore on Red Bank Road.
