Product Description

A familiar sight as they work between pits and power stations with 'merry-go-round' trains of 1000 tonnes or more. Built by BREL at Crewe and Doncaster or under license in Romania, these locomotives were designed for heavy freight duties, a task for which they are more than well suited. The Hornby model in the striking EWS livery is powered by a ringfield motor and collects current from all driven bogie wheels. Suitable rolling stock: All EWS liveried rolling-stock.
