Motor fitted but no DCC socket. Ringfield motor
All of Greasley's A1/A3's were originally named after racehorses and-á'Robert the Devil' was no exception. Built at the Doncaster Works and outshopped in 1923, this locomotive was-árebuilt as an A3 in 1942 but retained its GN tender which remained with the locomotive until withdrawal in mid 1963. Powered by a ringfield motor housed in the-átender, the Hornby model boasts superior detailing including sprung buffers and pickups on all the driving wheels ensuring smooth control at slow speeds.
