The Austin Low Loader model was launched in 1934, continuing on the success of the earlier, 'high lot' (due to its height) 12/4-based taxis. The roof rack is quite distinctive, and it also had a folding rear roof section. You would seen plenty of these, particularly on the streets of London at the time.
