The large red-backed nameplates betray this locomotive's history as one of Motherwell's dedicated pool of EE Type 3s that were used to convey iron ore from Hunterson to Ravenscraig steel works during the late-1980's. It was absorbed into the civil engineer's fleet at the start of the following decade and was repainted in the well-liked 'Dutch' colour scheme managing, at the same time, to retain its name. This model also features the revised body moulding.
